Lonzo to the Euro League?

Lavar Ball has recently caused more headlines in the basketball world and this time he may have jeopardized the longevity of his oldest son Lonzo's career with the Los Angles Lakers. In an interview earlier this month Lavar explained how is plan is to have all three ball brothers play for the ame team in the NBA, and if the lakers wont sign Liangelo and Lamelo then Lonzo would be more than happy to play elsewhere. These comments sparked a lot of talk around the league and many basketball analysts seem to think that the lakers are starting to get tired of Lavar's antics and have no problem discussing moving Lonzo out of LA.   The question is though what GM will take on the circus that is the ball family and what GM will even consider signing the other two brothers, considering they are no where near the level it takes to play in the NBA. So that brings me to my proposition, is it possible that maybe Lonzo moves to the Euro league? Lavar has made it clear that his plan is to...

Lavar announces plans to launch a developmental basketball league

From the moment Lavar Ball took his son LiAngelo out of school at UCLA, he has grumbled about the NCAA and vowed to create a suitable alternative for NBA prospects. Now, it appears Lavar has turned those grumblings into a tangible, albeit bold, solution. In a recent episode of the Ball's Facebook show "Ball in the Family" , Lavar and Big Baller Brand announced plans to create the JBA (Junior Basketball Association).  The JBA is intended to be a league for high school graduates which would pay them $3,000 to $10,000 per month and would serve as an alternative to college for prospects who wish to circumvent the NCAA and focus solely on the draft. Lavar's proposal includes eight teams in four major cities and would use NBA rules such as four 12 minute quarters and the deeper three point line, meant to streamline development. Currently, the only options players have immediately after high school are: 1. Go to college, which provides the most exposure and t...

Luke Walton the biggest winner in the Ball brother’s move to Lithuania

When Laker’s GM Magic Johnson drafted the oldest Ball brother 2nd overall out of UCLA. He knew what he was getting… or at least he thought he did. In a world where parents are more and more visible in youth, AAU, and even high school sports, surely professional sports and the NBA remained impenetrable by loud and opinionated parents such as the father of the Laker’s star rookie. As the regular season began, it was clear this was not the case. Much like he had to the staff of Chino Hills and UCLA, Lavar Ball became openly critical of the Lakers coaching. In another unprecedented development, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman published an article with Lavar in which he was openly bashing Luke Walton and the Laker’s staff. Not only did this increase frustration within the organization, but also around the league. Rick Carlisle, the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks called the article “a disgrace” and argued the fact that ESPN would even publish “these kinds of ignorant distractions is deplorable.” St...

Big Baller Brand Changing the Game

Over the past year there has been one name that has dominated the headlines of the basketball world. He has an extremely bold personality and his sons' play back up his mouth, this man's name is Lavar Ball. Lavar Ball jumped on the scene last year while his oldest son Lonzo was a talented freshmen at UCLA. Lavar made a name for himself during an in-game interview when he said that his son was better than reigning NBA MVP, Stephen Curry. From there the Ball family took off and was all over the news, every sports television show wanted Lavar to come on because of the ridiculous statements he would make in front of the camera. While all of this was going on Lavar became a marketing genius and used this new platform to promote his start up company the Big Baller Brand, or BBB for short. The idea for the company was to market the three Ball brothers, Lonzo, Liangelo, and Lamelo. All over the country you began to see Lavar and the boys wearing BBB clothing and merchandise and they we...

Weighing the Benefits: LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball sign with Prienai-Birstonas Vytautas

In early December of 2017, 19-year-old LiAngelo and 16-year old LaMelo Ball signed one-year contracts to play with Prienai-Birstonas Vytautas (better known as BC Vytautas) of the Lithuanian – and less competitive Baltic – Basketball Leagues.  As of February 1 st , their contracts were guaranteed through the remained of what is turning into a lack-luster season for BC Vytautas; currently, the team is seated 10 th in the Lithuanian League, with an overall record of 5-18.  LiAngelo (left) and LaMelo (right) signing their one-year contracts with BC Vytautas To play for BC Vytautas, the two younger Ball brothers had to sacrifice more than their residence in sunny California.  LiAngelo, a freshman at UCLA, and LaMelo, a five-star recruit who was expected to join UCLA’s 2019 incoming class, had to surrender their NCAA eligibility, US media and sports exposure, and opportunity to create a “UCLA Dynasty” in order to play in Lithuania.  “I don’t car...

Big Baller Brand Water?

In a world where not hearing a ridiculous claim from LaVar Ball is a rarity, his latest scheme should not come as a surprise to anyone. Big Baller Brand is entering the water industry. That's right the water industry. According to ESPN Analyst Darren Rovell, "LaVar Ball says he will import Big Baller Brand water from Lithuania to the United States. Big Baller Brand already sells overpriced apparel and basketball shoes so why not add water to list of over priced goods sporting the iconic BBB? Many Big Baller Brand products are bought as novelty goods and jokes because of the image surrounding LaVar Ball so this new venture is a chance to move into a market that everyone needs. From his new home in Lithuania, LaVar Ball has the chance to revolutionize the sporting apparel industry with a move into the water market. Will this be just be another chapter of the Lavar Ball saga that crashes and burns or will we all be drinking Big Baller Brand water on our way to work every morni...
