Lonzo to the Euro League?

Lavar Ball has recently caused more headlines in the basketball world and this time he may have jeopardized the longevity of his oldest son Lonzo's career with the Los Angles Lakers. In an interview earlier this month Lavar explained how is plan is to have all three ball brothers play for the ame team in the NBA, and if the lakers wont sign Liangelo and Lamelo then Lonzo would be more than happy to play elsewhere. These comments sparked a lot of talk around the league and many basketball analysts seem to think that the lakers are starting to get tired of Lavar's antics and have no problem discussing moving Lonzo out of LA.

The question is though what GM will take on the circus that is the ball family and what GM will even consider signing the other two brothers, considering they are no where near the level it takes to play in the NBA. So that brings me to my proposition, is it possible that maybe Lonzo moves to the Euro league? Lavar has made it clear that his plan is to have all three of his sons play for the same team, but that seems like it will most definitely not happen for an NBA franchise. Lavar has already changed the basketball world and has pulled some of the craziest moves the basketball world has ever seen so this idea doesn't seem too far fetched for me. Lavar is a marketing genius and would be able to make a lot of money over this move, not to mention he would be shaking up and changing the basketball world AGAIN. It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out over the next year and a half. What are your guys thoughts? Could you see this happening in the future?

  1. I don't think it is likely that Lonzo will play in the euroleague. While Lavar frequently makes many of the families statements, Lonzo is still his own man and wouldn't leave the most competitive basketball league in the world to fulfill his Dads marketing objectives. Lonzo has proven to be a solid NBA player and it would make no sense for him to leave that and the opportunity he has created for his family. Lavar talks about all three sons on the same team as a way of creating hype around his families name. I don't think Lavar genuinely believes that this will ever actually happen.

  3. COREY RIGGENBACH: I don't think Lonzo will make the move over to the Euro league as long as he has a starting position on an NBA team. Lavar is all talk at the moment, but having all three Balls on one Euro team could be exactly what the Big Baller Brand needs to continue their growth and brand awareness. It is way too risky to have Lonzo move to Europe so quickly after not even completing his first year of the the NBA.

  4. I think it would be a foolish move on Lonzo's part to let his father dictate his future in basketball. Realistically I doubt any NBA organization is going to barter with Lavar on where his sons play. LaMelo and LiAngelo are good but in reality there are way more talented and fundamentally sound players out there. Just because Lavar thinks they can play in the league does not mean they will. Lonzo is a very talented player and he will get every opportunity to succeed so I do not see him leaving the NBA anytime soon.

  5. I could never see Lonzo going to the Euroleage. That would be a very bold career move by Lonzo, considering it would have to be his own decision. Lavar always talks a big game, but at the end of the day it wasn't Lavar who got Lonzo his Lakers contract. I think Lavar is trying to save face for his son Liangelo because he is considered to have much less potential than Lonzo or Lamelo. As for Lonzo leaving the Lakers, I feel as though his potential would be all of his trade value, which would be even more reason to keep him. Trading Lonzo would be several steps backwards to the LA Lakers and a Lonzo trade would require another potential NBA superstar.
